Check up and dentist
Torin had his 9 month check up this morning, and is doing everything he should at this age. His weight is 21.7lbs (55th percentile), height is 29 1/2 in (78th percentile) and his head circumference is 18 1/2 in (90th percentile). So he is gaining weight at a slower rate (GOOD!!! he is getting heavy to carry) and is growing like a weed with a big head.
Keegan had his first dentist appointment last Wednesday and things went pretty much as I anticipated. He was fine when we got there, playing in the waiting room and reading books. They called us back, he was still fine. The lady gave him a game to play and a bag of goodies. He sat in the chair with no problems and started plaing the game. Dr. Rachel walked in; he stood up on the chair and opened his mouth. She said let's waste no time and get started. She told him that she wanted to count his teeth to see if he had all that he should have. He sat back down on the chair, she came at him with the little mirror and said "open up". He did...but he was crying. His mouth became the gates to Fort Knox. I thought that there is no way this lady is going to get him to open his mouth and let her count his teeth. I think she counted all the animals teeth in the room. Finally after about 10 minutes we all gave up and I had to hold him so that she could look at his teeth. She said everything looks good and we will see you in 6 months. Hopefully things will go a little smoother.
